I recently was honored to paint in the Sonoma Plein Air event in May. I enjoyed painting the vineyards and rolling hills with some of the best artists in California and the West Coast. A very well run event with great volunteers, this annual affair raises money for art education and classes for Sonoma youth. All of the paintings I've posted from this event have been sold. Makawao Plein Air Paint Out 2010
I was invited to be one of twenty artist to paint during this week long event. We had great weather , except for a little rain right after the 4th of July parade , which this year began the Paint Out with a Quick Draw during the parade. My painting 'Paniolo Country was chosen by juror Ronaldo Macedo as the "BEST in SHOW"

Maui Plein Air Painting Invitational

2011 WORKSHOP DATES:

I'll be offering a NEW WORKSHOP this fall 2011 Plein Air Pastel painting through the Hui Noeau. We'll be painting at locations off of the Hui property. Look for the dates here or call the Hui Noeau.


MAKAWAO PAINT OUT EVENT 2011 I had a great time painting in this event again this year. The weather was perfect and Viewpoints Gallery did a superb job coordinating venues and hosting the show. I received 4 awards for best painting at Maui Country Club, Plantation Country Club, Piiholo Ranch and O'O Farms. My thanks to those sponsors for their awards. The show ends July 12.
